APHA Filly CRITIQUE
I plan to show my baby in halter classes, and eventually the 3 & Under Lunge class, so I want to see what you guys think!!
Registered name: Scootin Along Time
Barn Name: Junie B.
Sire: Moore Scootin (Black tobiano)
Dam: Time To Be Mist (gray tobiano)
Color: red roan, solid.
Age: 11 mos.
This horse may improve with age and a better photo would be good. Right now, her neck is too short though it is set on an adequate, but steep shoulder. She appears to have a nice open angle at the point of shoulder. I would like more bone.. all the way round.
Her back appears short, but the peak of her rump is a bit far back. The croup is a bit steep. None of that bothers me as much as the set of her hind legs. They are set two far back and the hocks are a long way from the ground. Her hocks and knees are small and round lacking in substance. Looks a bit tied in behind the knee as well.
Pretty color. Pretty head.
Neck is set a bit high
Not a bad shoulder
Front legs look good
Back is short at this point but can't really give a 100% accurate critique at this age.
Steep slope to her croup
Hard to say about back legs. The one appears to be set too far back (camped out) but the other is not bad. More pictures would be good for a better judgement.
Pasterns are a tad long
haha, yeah, this isn't the best photo. She was such a wiggle worm today!!
