Please help me sleep..
I'm fostering a dog for a friend of mine ( mum of the horse's breeder who i will hopefully be buying my horse from). She has a VERY annoying habit... Im also noise sensitive, to make matters worse... What does she do, you say? :? She GRINDS her teeth.. No, shes not scared...not excited... not hungry...not asleep... she does it when shes bored... Has anyone has dogs who do this? How do you stop it? I cant sleep with the noise :-( I love her heaps, but this noise is as bad as chalk board nails..
This might indicate a worm problem, by the way. Is she wormed?
*wiggles fingers* Zleep...zleeeeeeeeeeeeep...yoooouuuu are nowwww azleeeeeeep...cloze thoze eyezzzzzzz...dreeeeeeaaaammmm
Didn't work? Dang, gotta improve my virtual hypnotism skills...
Yes she is UTD on worming - was desexed last monday. Haha evil.. xD

And has her gastric health been checked? Might also be something with gastric acids, pains, ulcers, etc.
Shewas given a clean bill of health at the vet.. Shes not stressed so its not that... not sure what it is.. Hmm..
Give her something to chew on?
Good idea, Sky! Also, she might need something more to do to occupy her mind - maybe you could train her tricks, agility, clicker training, a job to do, etc., and exaust her during the day so that she gets no time to be bored.
She doesnt like toys, the only toy she likes is her cong but after about 5mins or so a day she is over it until the next morning. She isnt really a energetic dog - shes more like a BIG lapdog...:rofl: We are training her to "Sit" "Stay" "Go to bed" etc so she is getting some training - but as for trick training we are trying to teach her "Shake hands" - our dog school (if we have one here) probably would not let her in sadly, because of the breed steryotyping here.
