The saddle - what does the gullet measure?

TrojanCowgirl 07-30-2012 06:55 PM

6 inches :)

Equilove 07-30-2012 07:04 PM

Aww :( I am trying to find a saddle to fit a fat haflinger.... is that too narrow?

I honestly wouldn't think so. It is very wide! Do you have any pics of your halfy? :)

Equilove 07-30-2012 07:10 PM

It's actually for a friend! I'll see if I can find some though. I sold her a saddle with a 7" gullet (if I measured it right) and it barely fit her slender mare (well, she was slender for an appy), and we set it on her haffy but it was wayy too narrow.

TrojanCowgirl 07-30-2012 07:22 PM

Ahhh, I see. Then this saddle might be too small as well. :/ I may have measured it wrong being that I can't imagine a wider saddle. I'll take a picture and post it here :)
