Silly question about eventing
 I'm following the Olympics, and looking at pictures from the eventing trials. I know very little about it, and was wondering what the white cream I see on a lot of the horses front and hing legs is for? Sorry if this is a silly question, I was just curious.

White cream? Sweat, probably.

Really? It didn't look like sweat...hmm have to go back and look at the pictures. Thanks :)

I'm not sure without seeing pictures. I haven't been watching the equestrian events because I don't have any of the channels they're showing them on. :/

It's a lubricant of sorts to help their legs slide off the wood/jumps easier if they make contact.

Ah, thanks jinxremoving. I should remember that Google is your friend as I found that same info. Apparently its a form of grease that helps the horses to slide over rather than stick when going cross country. Makes a lot of sense.
