Western Barn-English saddle?!
I have this old Blue Ribbon english saddle (prob. about 20 years old) that is in great condition. I still need to run a tree test on it and clean it up. I ride Western (but used to ride English) and I wanted to possibly ride on of the horses in my enlish saddle if the tree isn't broken or twisted. The barn also races TBs and so they have racing saddles and girths. They have Western saddles and Western girths too (duh).
To the question- can I use a racing girth with an English saddle or will it be too long or something? If I can't, what can I use as a girth? Thanks!

If saddle doesn't fit your horses I wouldn't use it at all personally.

I prefer the girths most commonly used on flat runners. I get mine (and to give as gifts) from a little place near Churchill. If they hold up to up to the torque those horses put on a girth, they'll suit my needs.

Short answer is: yes.
