How to clean the sheath?

I have always had my vet do this, but I was wondering if I can clean the sheath on my own, and how? Whenever my gelding is tied up he drops, so it will make things easier, but I don't know what to do! Thank you!

If you search the forumlately for "sheath cleaning" you will find a lot of useful threads. Someone posted a link to a very informative and humorous article on the subject.

We use (and don't snicker) a cleaner called Excalibur. Specially made for cleaning those parts.
