And then there were two.

These are just some pictures from a few weeks ago that we rescued from my now-deceased camera. There may not be more for a while.

Some of you may already know from a previous game that I've been hired to cart train a little chestnut gelding that looks very similar to Sour while she's out of commission. He's quite cute and a fast learner (though not as fast as Sour, and he's rather lazy xD) so I'm excited. We've been working together for about a month now and today he driven for the first time. He was a perfect gentleman, as I insisted- and I think he's going to make a great little driving pony once we get him beefed up a bit.

So ofcourse theres some pictures of him in there (with Her Highness attached for 'moral support'...she gets rather jealous if he gets to use the cart and she doesnt), and some of Sour ground driving, as well as one of miss Tempest and our Donkey for your viewing pleasure.

ignore the mud. This was only a few days before we came back to the farm after all of the flooding.

And this makes me miss our Minis. Oh how fun they are to train, drive and mess around with. Their feed bill is fun too!

Cute ;)

YOu should dress Cowboy up like a dog and put a leash on him and take him for a walk downtown and see if it freaks anybody out.

just a wierd thought.

I can imagine you having those minis pulling a miniature plow , on miniature fields, in some kind of Hobbitville miniature country.

OHMIGOODNESS Sour is just too cute for words.

New Image- aren't they? xD Its a bit weird but sometimes I actually enjoy miniatures more than I do full sized horses. And yes, the feed bills are MUCH better. With the full sized guys you have to suppliment this and beet pulp that, with all of these fancy grains and half a bale of hay a day atleast. The minis? Throw them two flakes of hay a day and they're the picture of health.

Except Cowboy. He's on the light side and a bit tougher to keept weight on according to his owner xD he's a rare one though.

TinyLily- LOL, I should xD and unlike with Sour-puss, I wouldnt have to worry about him kicking anyone's heads in. Maybe I'll try that, just for you, and record it ;) or maybe take him to the dog park? LOL

Exactly! They were super handy when my space was limited years back, living with my parents. I had two riding horses and four minis. You can stack minis up like pallets in a barn! Baha! I've told my husband when I get old I forsee switching back to miniatures. Easy to feed on a retirement budget, driving will replace riding, much less "horse" there to argue with... We wouldn't have any time for them right now, with my eight personal riding horses and a handful of boarders but I do enjoy the little guys.

That and driving aside they're a ball to jump!

Oh my gosh they are just so precious!I've always wanted a miniature soo bad. Good luck with Cowboy! They look like so much fun.

New_Image- What an adorable little mini! He/she actually looks like a thinner version of our little in-hand hunter, Star. We absolutely love setting up little courses for them to go through (we happen to have teeter totters, bridges, cones, etc to use also) and run it with with. Unfortunately my personal mare, Sour- is a total clutz when it comes to jumping and has no will to do it at all, so I never got past a foot or so with her, but some of them can really fly!

My favorite has got to be the driving though. I was really missing being able to do that with Sour (she's VERY pregnant and due any day now) so I was so excited to work with Cowboy!

Gymkhanaprincess- Thanks! They're a ton of fun, and Cowboy is a total sweetheart. And he's picking things up so quickly!
