Hey Horse Lovers,
I was wondering if anyone has heard of putting VEGETABLE OIL over your horses food to help them gain weight. My horse has lost weight and she appears skinny and someone told me about this. I was wondering if it really worked and was healthy for the horse. I already have her on Legends Omega Plus supplement but I feel that's not enough. Hope someone can help!
First off, Hi and welcome to the forum!!
I started this thread a little while ago and it has tons of great information about adding oils to your horses feed, there are so many things to consider before picking one oil and just going with it..Read through this and hopefully you can get more information out of it.
I don't know much about caring for a horse and the people I keep my horse with don't ride their horses so they are always at a great weight. Once I started cantering mine she starting losing tons of weight. Makes me nervous.
You're welcome.. If she started losing weight after you started "pampering" her you really should have a vet out and have him do just a full exam on her. I don't mean to scare you but your horse may have an underlying problem that needs to be addressed also.
