Favorite Overreach Boots?
Last year at our last barrel race I found out my horse overraches. Sooo, this year I bought a pair of Pro choice no turn bell boots. He overraches really bad because he is little and to make up for it he really gets down and stretches out. I am just wondering what your favorite bell boots are or if you think there is another brand I should get. The boots he has fit him fine but he always manages to turn one around. He has only worn them 5 times and they are ripped on the inside too. He is rough on them! I want something that will last a little longer because they aren't that cheap to keep buying over and over.

Charlie overreaches too....but thats because his legs are like 2 miles long...i have the same as you and they work great.

I like Pro Equine (well they are the only ones that fit JJ). I use mine until they are completely broken down. I have a pair for everyday use to wear out and I have multiple pairs to ONLY run in.
I have a pair I have had for 4 years that are beaten up but still going strong.
As for them turning....I have used every brand and if your horse is working hard and getting deep they are going to turn around every now and again. Also are they the correct size? Sometimes if they are a bit big they will spin like tops.

I like the Classic Equine DL.
Turning to the right, Selena will almost always turn her inside boot and they are her size. -pout- Doesn't even matter what brand anymore.

I use the Classic Equine No Turn DL Bell Boots.
I've never had a problem with them turning, and they don't get beat up. My new guy travels with his feet fairly close together (I can hear him brush the bell boots against each other when he walks) and they've never ripped yet. http://www.callisters.com/assets/ima...NTDLzw_csr.jpg

Thanks for all of the replies! I think that I might try out the Pro equine boots and Legacy boots! His boots now are a good fit he just hits them so hard that they turn or rip! :/

If it is that bad I would talk to your farrier. I would bet that a good farrier could help a lot with that.

I like the Justin bell boots.. Although I've never thought to try duct tape.. I'll have to try that one. I do agree that it's probably wise to talk to your ferriar about it if your horse is over reaching that bad.
