Tack Trunks/Lockers
I've been on the active look out for tack trunks and lockers for my things.

All the pre-made ones I've found have been terribly built, and they won't fit even half of my tack.

I have two english saddles, and two western. I realize I'll probably have to get stands for the western saddles, but hey, a girl can hope :p

The "custom" made ones I've found so far are ridiculously priced! So those are out.

Does anyone know where I can get a trunk or locker built for a reasonable price? Or has anyone seen larger used ones for sale?

A lot of times you can find a local carpenter and give him/her a design to work with. You get a custom build for a decent price.

Hi Randella - These guys offer a wide range of Lockers and Trunks and I hear they do one to take the large Western Saddles as well..

Welcome to Flexi Equine Tack, best for out side tack and storage lockers for horse equipment

They are available worldwide and the link above gives you contact details for the office in Ireland and the North American Agents..

A friend of mine in dubai purchased the Big Locker from Flexi Tack Lockers and loves it! He has nothing but good things to say about it..

Hope this helps!

If you aren't looking for one to haul to shows, just one for at home, I would second those who say to call a carpenter. Two of my friends at the barn (an eventer and an AQHA rider - both have multiple saddles) have had carpenters make trunks for them, but they don't take them to shows.
I have one that I bought used from a lady that had it made by a guy, and it fits in my horse trailer (wheels up the back ramp) which is great for shows because I don't have to pack lol. I can fit up to two dressage saddles in my trunk and most of my stuff, except blankets. It's got a topper for my boots and helmet.
But yeah, find a guy to do it for you, way cheaper than going through a tack trunk company.

Good luck!
