once upon a google search
I came across this blog looking up conformation pictures and I'm not really sure what to think about it. Lol, not sure that taking pictures that aren't really proper angles then criticizing them in fact none of the pictures are even remotely conformation shots; is the 'right' way to go about bashing breeds but, maybe I'm wrong... I guess everyone gets their opinion on the internet.
It's never been a mystery that the best European horses stay in Europe and their "culls" end up in the US. Unless the importer has family or deep contacts, the best will never come here no matter how much $$ is thrown in. The blogger and most of the people who made comments are unfamiliar with draft conformation and don't know what they're looking at. The plow horse comments showed how ignorant they are. The examples are poor specimens but I'm unclear as to what the point really is unless it was to bash for the sake of bashing.
There are things I don't like and disapprove of in the draft industry but I have to say I've never heard a whisper about steroids. There are mares out there that look more like geldings but that's not even what they're talking about. You never see over muscled, bunchy drafts. If anything they are leaner that ever.
