Help Me Shop/What to Look for in First Horse

So, I have boarding set up (I'm sticking with the barn I'm at now), now I can start horse shopping OFFICIALLY. As most of you have seen, I have a nice little mare that I have my eye on, and I am scheduled to go look at her on Sunday.

I have stated that I was going to let my HF family help me shop for my first horse. Here are my requirements:
--Beginner safe!! (I am a timid rider)
--Larger, as I am a larger rider
--Western rider
--Mellow
--10yrs or older, but not elderly
--Must be acclimated to being boarded outside
--Located within the state of Minnesota
--Owners willing to deliver for additional fee
--Pics would be helpful

Breed, color or gender are not important to me, as the most important is temperament. I am looking for a great beginner's horse.

ALSO--
I am going up to look at my first mare on Sunday, and I am a little unsure of what to look for in buying my first horse. I am on my own for this first visit, but my instructor said that if I was still interested in the mare after my first visit, that she would come up with me my next visit and make sure I wasn't buying a demonic pony.

So, What should I look for?

Luv you guys.

Thanks Amanda!

I should have set a price limit, I'm not looking to spend a HEAP, as the market is low right now, so I've heard. I'd go as high as 3500 and thats as if the horse really dazzles me.

This one looks like a nice one... she's 14. I like her better then the one above. She's been bred before though... she's cute though... love her name.

I like the second one too. I'll be in Kellogg this weekend actually, I'll contact the owner and see if I can go out and have a look at her.

She would need a "wittle" sunscreen on her nose though...

You know, I've often wondered about that, do all white horses need sunscreen? Fritz has a white/pink nose, and I'm not sure if they put sunscreen on him or not.

ETA: I have an email out to the owners of the second.
