Is my horse pregnant? Help
 
i got my horse 3-4 weeks ago. shes gained id say about 200 lbs the previous owner bred her she said 6-3 months prior. how do i know if she is pregnant. all the stable hands say they think she is. help!

You call a vet out to do an exam or ultrsound. My vet only charged $35.
Is she bagging up?

Your post is very confusing to me.

If she was with a stallion, theres a 50-50 chance shes bred.

Get a vet out. Youll know for sure then. We cant help you.

when i got her originally the vet said to wait to see if she starts getting bigger and shes thickening up i have no clue what to look for shes my second horse ,ive never delt with a pregnant horse. wheres your vet located?

she as with a stallion previously still slim. i just got her and shes gained so much weight.

200 pounds in a few weeks, *shakes head* not possible

I'm trying to figure out the 6-3 months prior... Which was it 3 months or 6 or did she breed her June 3rd of this year. 200 lb in a few weeks wouldn't happen. Now looking like she gained 200 overnight when she stops trying to look all beautiful and let's her muscles relax, maybe. Post pics. Call the vet. I'd say her vet is in Michigan as that's her location unless I am missing something.

If she is in Michigan she had better find out & make arrangements if the mare is pregnant. Michigan in winter is no time to have a baby if she was bred 6 months ago. She'll need a dry, warm barn.

The way to find it out is calling the vet out. I think there are "preggo kits" out there too (I got this one FoalGuard Mare Pregnancy Test, Wee foal checker. after googling), but they are not cheap (like human).
