Spanish Arabians, Sasaki, Kawasaki, questions, ahh! :P
Anyone have some knowledge about Spanish Arabian stallions Sasaki or Kawasaki? I have a SSA gelding that I've had for thirteen years, and a few years back someone made a comment about foals in the family with birth defects? Anyone know anything about this? I'm not worried about Washi (he's fine, obviously, and gelded) but I'm mostly just curious, and his full brother (Kawasaki) to my knowledge, is still a stallion at stud. There's a bit of inbreeding a while back. Here are my boy's lines, and a few pics.

I am not overly familiar with Spanish lines but wow, Sasaki was a grand little stallion!

Lessthanthree, you have a GORGEOUS arabian....I am contemplating buying Khemosasaki, who's Dam (JSL Giorgio) was by Sasaki. Yes there were some in line breeding for a bit but I haven't heard anything about genetic defect issues. But then again I'm a newb to the Arab breeding world. I will keep my ears to the ground for any statements made about this sub however and will relate them to you. There are the known factors to Arabian breeders: SCID, CA & LFS
