A Horse Doesn't Care How Much You Know
Really pretty video but if 'not knowing anything' meant he was being neglected then I'm thinking he wouldn't be a very happy horse. Depends what you mean by 'not caring really
It means caring about what the horse thinks and not forcing him to do things he's unsure about. You could know everything in the world about how to ride and care for a horse but the real thing you need to do is spend time with your horse and try to understand him and his ways that's the caring I meant. But you do have a point.:-)
A horse doesn't care how much you know.... until he knows how much you care! Love that quote lol
Yes, i've met many people who could ride extremely well and knew how to take care of a horse physically and keep him healthy, but not necessarily take care of him mentally.
I do think though that the bond & trust you develop with a horse when you do spend all that time just caring for it - feeding, grooming, handling gives you a much deeper understanding of how he feels and why he/she's behaving in a particular way. I've seem far too many people punish horses when they needed reassuring or just more education when the things expected of them hadn't been clearly taught or asked for.
I love what you are trying to say.
