12 yr. old Saddlebred/Arab mare. What's your thoughts on how she's put together,likes/dislikes,as best as you can tell from these not so squared up photos? (I'm being lazy and scrounging pics from my laptop instead of going out and taking proper confo shots)

OK,I didn't think the photos were That bad! lol.

Pretty mare ;)
Shoulder angle is just a tad on the upright side
Nothing seriously off about her front legs apart from them being spaced wide
Back is boarderling longish but not too bad
High in the wither
Very "araby" hindquarters, which i personally like
Hard to tell about her hind legs in those photos. She looks possibly sickle-hocked, which is a characteristic i have been noticing alot in Standardbreds.

Thanks for the input. :) As for being sickled hocked,I've wondered that too.. She's tricky though, some days she looks it,but other days she doesn't. Now that you mention it,I realize that I didn't post very good pics for judging her hind legs especially;I'll have to get some better pics.

Must be the angle of the photos, but I can definitely say she does not have a long back. People who see her in person ask how we even fit a saddle on her ,and in fact,we had to really work to find a western saddle that would be short enough to fit her, lol.
Her hind legs are definitely her weak point. They don't cause her any problems though, and certainly don't slow her down any!
As for being splay footed,I see it in the ones I took the other day,but haven't noticed it before.Maybe the way she was standing? Will have to look for that and see if she truly is.. Thanks for the input! I'm glad to see that the faults I have noticed on my own are the same ones others are seeing, and there's not some biggy that I've missed. :)

Nothing wrong about front legs that are wide apart. Makes for a very well winded horse with a strong heartbeat.
Just thought I'd throw that in there.

This is extremely true in her case! She LOVES to run and has incredible stamina. She'll go all day with out even slowing down..

It's what we look for in racing thoroughbreds. Breathing capacity is a big thing, that so many people take for granted. I love wide chested equines, it's why I enjoy my ride so much

Yes, much prefer my girl.
