Need Camera Help I recently bought a digital camera with HD video, the only problem is that the videos wont work on my computer. It will import, but everytime I click on it or try to put it into Windows Movie MAker, it says ERROR and stuff...Any help? |
Not totally sure, but my guess would be that your computer sin't compatible with HQ, and you're pretty much screwed. Can you return the camera? How old is your computer? |
I'm not an expert at video- I work with photos more- try checking your software and make sure the camera's video and your computer's video player are compatible. |
Check the import video settings in Moviemaker. You may have to change something there before importing video. |
Also, you may have to convert the video before Moviemaker will import it. Moviemaker does not accept all formats. |
Mine did the same thing too. I googled the question, how do I format my videos so I can edit on moviemaker? The answer came up & I downloaded it and there you go. |
I honestly giveup. I;ve tried two different converters, and 3 different cameras and nothing is working right. It'll work for pictures, but not video clips. |
Hey!!! Get back on that pony & ride it until you get it right. |
I know you're not supposed to giveup, but I have tried 4 cameras now, tried updating Windows Movie Maker, and tried downloading a new Codec, but my computer detected a virus, and wouldn't complete the download...So...maybe I should just stick to photography since it does work on my computer...:( |
