Stallion and breed confusion
Hello :-)

Okay, so, i'm looking at breeding or purchasing a new dressage horse. I have a stock horse at the moment and he is amazing and i love him to pieces and he is a great dressage horse. However i have always wanted a Warmblood to take me far with dressage, I am torn between the two and though what about a SH x WB or would that be to hot, as they are both working horses. Which bread would be the dame ad which the sire? Or should i just stick to the one bread?

Any suggestions would be great? and suggestions on other breads to?

Thank you :-)

BUY a young prospect! It is much cheaper and you KNOW what you will get.

Disadvantages of breeding

. Vet bills....lots of vet bills. And that is if eveything goes well.
. three years of waiting before doing anything much
. Could end up a very badly conformed horse
. cross breeding could limit the quality of what you happen to get (not always, but you just won't know).

Buy a young horse.

Leave breeding to the professionals who have good track record.
