My lil dog food thief
So I went outside because I heard our lab barking like he was upset about something. I go look and I find this lil dog food thief eating all his dog food on our porch. Have you ever had a
horse that would eat dog food??? I've never seen that before lol. Silly jackpot guess he was ready for his dinner. I can't believe it didn't scare him to step up on the porch.

You're allowed to just keep them in your backyard like that?

Peppy Barrel Racing 09-26-2012 09:51 PM

Lol they don't stay in the back yard. There is a pasture behind there, they stay there I was letting then get the nice green grass and mow a bit they don't have much in their pasture.

oohhhh okay haha sorry, just curious. I do that when I dont want to hafta mow lol

Yup. I USED to keep the dog food container outside on the front porch, until one day I heard this long THUNK and something spilling. I ran outside, and my mare had left her grass and climbed onto the porch only to knock open the dog food container (by throwing it to the ground and pawing it until it opened) and ate a few days worth of kibble O_O

And no, it isn't uncommon for her to be in the front yard ;) It's paddock sized, so when the grass grows up, she goes in and mows it back down for us  Awesome pro to having a "backyard" horse. OP, your colt is freaking adorable!! But we should probably keep our dog food better put up from now on

I knew some one that would feed their horse dog food insted of horse food. They were a bit looney any way, so it doesnt suprise me.

Lol I was surprised he was eating it he cleaned the whole bowl! Jet was lookin at him like he was crazy. And I love to put the horses and the yard and mow it means I don't have to do it lol. I'm keeping the gate closed on the patio from now on.

Lucky, I don't have a patio gate, it's just steps to the porch... that Indie quickly (as a youngster) figured out how to climb and get into the house from  Quirky horses are lots of fun, that's for sure.

My big 16 hand barrel horse at my old place I kicked him out if my kitchen twice! I had the door open for carrying groceries and he would walk right in my house!
