I have made my choice! Everything is amazing!

It's official, Troubadour is coming home on Saturday the 13th! :D

I spoke with his owner, and we came to an agreement about delivery. She's bringing him all the way to my barn, bringing his total to $240! Haha! Not too bad I'd say.

For those of you who didn't read the other thread, here's a little about Troubadour:
He's a five year old quarter horse, who is built with a tank and boy does this baby got back! At least compared to the horses I usually have. He's a bay, and such a loveable boy from what I have been told. She says he has immpeccable ground manner, loading in a trailer included. His riding knowledge is pretty limited, just walk, trot, lope, turn, and stop and started on neckreining. But that's okay! For a $200 horse, I'm just fine if he turns out to not ride at all. He still has the potential to be a very good boy. :D I'll probably be starting a thread about his training progress once I get him.

I also talked to the BO of the place I planned on boarding at! I wasn't too sure what I was going to do about his coggins being expired and paying the board for the day I bought him but we also came to an agreement! She's letting me keep him there, paying his board the following week, then getting his coggins the week after that. I'm super stoked!

The barn I'm keeping him at is nice too, they have covered stalls, and arena with barrels, a round pen, a hot walker, and a wask bay! All lighted! Plus they are in the process of building a tack room. :D My full care includes feeding twice a day, stall cleaning twice a day (usually) and turn out every other day. For $100 a month? I'm pretty dang happy about it all! I even offered to help her out when I'm out there, with cleaning other horses' stalls and anything she needs if I'm around! She said she'd really appreciate it and even take some off my board.

I figured up all my money, and even with having his teeth floated, feet done, wormed, and coggins pulled and I'll still have pleanty of extra money!

I'm overjoyed that everything if falling into place so well. My school is going phenomenally, grades are great and I'm not struggling and at this rate I'm going to graduate early! I've met a super sweet guy, who of course I'm not promising anything yet but I think we are going to really get along well . Which is nice after being cheated on by my last boyfriend. My work is going good, and I'm even probably going to get another job and get another $100 a week. I'm fixing relationships with old friends, making new friends as well.. and just everything is so... AMAZING right now! I'm so estatic! :D:D:D YAY! YAY! YAY!

Who else loves when everything falls into place? :D

I also apologize if my spelling is bad, I've looked through it but probably missed something. I'm not used to typing on this computer!

This is the only picture I could get to load on Photobucket! http://i1195.photobucket.com/albums/...ejpeg_2_62.jpg

He's cute, congratulations.

Make sure you remember that great feeling of everything coming together, it will help when things tank in the future. Without any downs you would not appreciate the ups.

Thank you! I like him, aside from being a bit.butt high.

That's why I think I'm so happy about everything as it is now. I've had a really rough last year, so all this is making me so happy.

I simply don't see how anyone can offer that kind of full care for $100 a month. Why is it SO expensive around here? just out of curiousity, how much does hay cost,? what is considered a decent salary? How much does a modest home cost?

He looks like a very sweet boy. CONGRATULATIONS, and hope everything continues to go well for you.

Well, hay is about $8 a bale but it was $15 for awhile. This is with me providing feed btw forgot to mention that! Lol. I have no idea about home cost or anything, I'm kinda clueless nowadays!

And thank you! :)

Shouldn't matter much on how much housing costs if she's posting about how happy she is that everything seems to be falling into place for her.

Congrats on everything! I hope hes turns out to be great for you! (:

It matters because OP put out there what she was paying and tinyliny was curious if the overall cost of living in that area was why the cost of board was so low compared to the cost in the area she lives - so she asked relevant questions for her to be able to sort that out........
