I think they have it!!
My nearly 6 year old doesn't particularly like horses. He doesn't hate them, but he doesn't like them either. He will compromise - "I like horse trucks Mum!" So you can imagine, coming from a line of "horse genes" I thought it was going to die with me...
Last night, at the circus, my two and a half year old girls got to go on their first pony ride. They had the hugest smiles, and were laughing and cheering the whole time. I think they inherited the horse gene!!! I can't wait until they are old enough to start lessons!!

I come from a family with NO horse people . i am a freak of nature "black sheep". My sons have zero interest in horses. They followed the genetic line.

It's a girl thing, I heard the reasons why on a discovery channel show, can't remember exactly what it was, but it made sense at the time, lol. My son rode horses & we forced to him show once in awhile but for the most part, they weren't this thing, on other hand, my daughter was addicted the moment she was born & still is to this day. Granddaughter has inherited the equestrian gene as well, she is only 1 1/2 yrs old & yesterday she rode two horses & hung on by herself & trotted at bit!
