New way of transporting sheep.

Okay I know this is probably the wrong place but I think more people will she it here.

This is a ewe we had flown in from one of the outer isles in Shetland as it is only a 15 min flight as aposed to the 2 and a half hour ferry journey so here is our new ewe Amelia, Mia for short. She is name after Amelia Earhart.

It looks like she took to flying very well. I've always liked the look of shetland sheep.

They are lovely sheep.

Aww,what a sweetie, and great name! :) And she doesn't look the least bit perturbed about her mode of transportation either.
Speaking of ways to transport sheep..We raise Charollais and Suffolk sheep, and the other day a guy came to buy some ewes.He took them home in the back of his minivan, with a bunch of chickens as well.It sure looked funny, these three big ol'ewes looking out the back window, surrounded by chickens, lol.

We have shetlands with the execption of one cheviot, ours lamb in spring around April May time we don't have many sheep and we got all of our orignal shetlands from one person and we bred our ram so we have been looking for nicely coloured well conformed sheep to add new blood which is hard when alot of peoples coloured shetlands are related to ours.

Cute sheep! I bet her wool is silky soft? If you don't need/want her, I'll be more than happy to have her come live with me, lol!

Oh my gosh! Is she ever cute! I love the pic of her in her crate. She looks very chilled. Are the Shetland Islands very nice? I only known of them as I have a dog whose breed originates from your corner of the world-my Shetland Sheepdog named Skye.
