Hi I have seen double lunging, where horse is lunged with two leads, one over the hind end.
Can someone tell me exactly what this achieves and how to do it/ set it up?
Are there any how-to videos?
Here's an article I found about it! Lungeing Horses with the Double Lunge « claire lilley horses Very interesting question, I've never heard or seen double lungeing in real life!!
It allows you to help collect the horse without having to ride. It's no different than ground driving or long lining, you just can't run behind a cantering horse. My old instructor/trainer was doing this with horses when she couldn't ride from a medical condition. Valuable tool, double lungeing.
