Ammerman roping saddle.

So I've been looking for a 14 1/2 ropeing saddle foorreever, and havnt been able to find one in my price range. I found one today, but wanted some opinions.

It's an Ammerman roper, completly tooled, in great shape just needs a bath. I think he said it was built in the 80's. You can tell its def been used, but it still has a lot of life left in it. He wants 450$ for it. Is this a good price based on the information I gave?

.

There are Several Saddle Maker with that last name, Carl is possibly the most prevalent.

Those Saddle used routinely go for 1,000.00 or more

Check to make sure nothing is wrong at such a low price, if it is good shape you found an awesome deal.

There was nothing I could find wrong with it. It had some cosmetic scratches on the left fenders where he said his spurs rub when he jumps off after cows. He's going through a divorce and is strapped for cash. I am second in line if the other person decides they don't want it. I should have took some pics of it. If he brings it tommorow to the patrol school I'm going to see if I can ride in it and see if it fits me and my horse.

Well my honey suprised me with an early Xmas present and bought me the saddle. The makers Mark on the side says saddlesmith ammerman. It's in great shape, just really dirty! I'm going to clean it and post pics in a bit.
