Can you feed Purina Enrich 32 alone without additional grain?
Have been doing a bit of research on ration balancers and vitamin supplements for easy keepers. Our horses are out 24/7 and get no grain or hay (hay only when camping or trailering out). Both are far from skinny but have been wondering if they are getting all the nutrition they need. We ride 3-4 days a week trail riding for 2- 3 hours at a time. I have heard Triple Crown is one of the better ones followed by Nutrena and Purina, I know there are others but have found the purina Enrich close to my home so I was wondering if I need to add to grain or if I can feed it alone. Thanks a lot!
The short answer is yes - that is how it is intended to be used.
Thank you themacpack, You know I pretty much knew that but you hear of people top dressing, just wanted to make sure. Thanks again!
Yeah, it can also be used in smaller amounts to top dress grain when they're not getting the minimum recommended amount.
I've been feeding him this way for 8 months now and he is sleek, fat, and shiny.
I have seen many barns do this. They got 1/2 cup to 1 cup of Purina Enrich 32 twice a day. They were on a orchard grass timothy mix and they looked pretty good! It is usually fed alone for easy keeper horses.
gosh 1/2 cup is not much at all, do you mean 1/2 lb? This thread is a little older, we had decided to go with TC 30%, 1 lb a day. Thanks though!
Nope, I meant to say 1/2 a cup.
It's all he needs.
It is funny though...
5 seconds of chomping followed by 5 minutes of slurping and licking up the imaginary crumbs.
