Saddle Placement/Fit
3 Attachment(s)

I took pics of my new saddle on my very fat mutton withered horse. We have been conditioning 5 nights a week for a little over two weeks now so I am hoping in a month or two I begin to see some better muscle tone. I knew he was an easy keeper, but landsakes. He spent the entire summer on pasture with no hay during the worse SW MO drought in decades and put on an enourmous amount of weight.

Comments are very appreciated. Thank you.

I'm going to recommend you not go with a real thick pad, only an inch thick or a little less, otherwise it will lift it too much in the front and cause the remainder to float.

that saddle doesnt look like it fits too narrow. How a bout a straight from the side photo. Getting in shape wont make him thinner where the saddle fits, If anythign it will make his shoulders bigger and make th efit worse.
