Ok I have a 4yr old and I noticed that she REALLY chomps on the bit and when I use contact she bucks. So I thought it must be a wolf tooth in the way. I stuck my thumb in the side of her mouth and I felt a small pointy tooth. Is that the wolf tooth? Or a canine that is suppose to be there? We are calling an equine dentist soon but I have been riding her with a halter and contesting reins till we can get him out. The thing is I can't feel one on the other side??? :?

Hard to tell without touching, but... The horse can have just ONE wolf tooth (like one of my horses did). So in this case you won't find anything on the other side. And yes, it's pretty sharp when you touch it. So using the dentist is the best way to go... :)

Ok yeah I was kind of worried when I didn't feel one on the other side but that way the dentist only has to pull one. :)

Will save you money too! Lol! My vet charges per each wolf tooth, so one was certainly cheaper than 2 (my other horse had 2 to be removed).
