Hoof Polish/Conditioner
What are your product recommendations for in and out of the show ring?

Normally I would just use rain maker as a hoof conditioner but someone recently told me to stay away from pine-tar based products as they will actually weaken the hoof wall. I checked out the ingredients in the Farnam rain maker... pine tar is one of the first ingredients listed. I also have a product called "Farriers Hoof Oil" (it comes in a simple blue and white container) but that is more for soreness after being shod.

Hoof oils/conditioners are essentially a waste of money, they don't work and I also heard these products could be actually detrimental to hooves. Anyways, only time I ever use it is if I am showing in a mucky arena, holds up better than hoof black polish.
