how long till good enough for walk/trot equitation?
Okay guys, I really need help. (considering my instructor doesn't help much.) I'm really sorry I don't have any pictures of me riding, lol this'll be hard then sorry. I don't know how much more I'll have to practice to be ready for walk/trot equitation. Can you tell me? sorry this'll be hard. I keep my heel down, leg on, stirrups on the balls of my feet, back straight, and a very balanced seat. (don't want to sound conceited or anything!) But at the trot, I somehow post too high (how can you do that?!?!) and I can't keep my heels down. I don't get left behind that much anymore, but sometimes still do. I figure it'll take me about another year or two to get this right, but just wanted to see what you think.
First of all, maybe it would benefit you to find a different instructor if at all possible? Since you pay instructors to help you.
Is there any way you could post pictures of you riding? Maybe set up a camera in the arena or have a friend do it.
I also had a problem with posting too high, so I feel your pain!
I really can't say anything concrete unless you post pictures. Of course you can show whenever you want to, but showing and doing well is another thing.
