Lizards, Snakes?

Anyone have any lizards or snakes they would share pictures of? I love them! I am getting a bearded dragon soon, I had one but he passed away("Spike"). I also had a lepord gecko ("Molly" she was a sweetie!), and an Anole ("Biggie"). I don't have pictures on the computer I'm on right now though!

I currently have nine snakes, a blue tongue skink, and a bearded dragon. I am a boa girl. I am hoping to breed sand boas and boa constrictors. I have the start of a really great group.

Here are a few pics! sorry for the awkward picture sizes.

My female rufescens sand boa. I am fairly certain she is gravid. It will rock!

Here is a new pic of my yellow anaconda. I can't get enough of this baby. I love her so very very much.

This is my big anery boa. I am getting her a male in December, so that I can be on my way to producing snows. I will be getting a nice male and another female.

When I got her, I set her in my truck to go help them load her tank. Well! Her previous owner did not tie her bag very well, so when I went to get in to leave, I opened the door and saw her tail going up under my dashboard. Took us 20 minutes and nearly dismantling my dash to get her out. Here she is wrapped around my steering column. LOL~

I was too, until a guy I really trusted took the time to gently show me. Now I am hooked.

I kind of had an argument with a snake a little while ago that wanted to build a house under my hay bales. We ended the dispute with him waiting under a bin-lid for a pro to relocate him to the other side of the property. He probably came straight back though, out of spite.

Off topic I know.

Haha, well, that tells me a great deal about you and your character. You didn't just yell "Eeek! Satan! Kill it kill it kill it!" and chop it to bits with a shovel.

In ways, they are much better mousers than cats or poison. They can get down deep into the holes that cats can't reach. A good King Snake or other colubrid in the barn will also help keep venomous snakes away. They are quite beneficial if you are open to it and have a little knowledge on your side to help with your fears.

I was always scared but fascinated through the glass. Sand boas are very good for getting over your fears because they are little, docile, and fairly slow moving.

Reptile shows are a very good place to learn your way through your fears, as most of the vendors are usually willing to inform, educate, and help a new potential owner. They are like horse people. They love to talk about their animals. Go for the specific breeders first, not the big tables with many different types of animals.

Beautiful snakes !! Love the last pic, bet that wasn't fun getting her out of there lol!

I'm getting my baby beardie in the next couple weeks! So excited :-)

LadyDreamer 11-16-2012 03:36 PM

Have you picked it out yet?? I cant wait to see pictures. Baby beardies are so cute and ungainly. My boyfriend has been tempted to get another. He works at PetsMart and they are on sale.

It was awful. We wave goodbye to her old owners. They smile and ask us to love her! Thirty seconds later I have to go knock on their door. "Umm.... Do you know how to take a dashboard off?"

Oh my goodness! That's kinda funny but what a pain!

I haven't picked one out yet, waiting for them to hatch, there is a breeder in my area that sells them at the local pet store, I have seen a lot of the babies and they are all strong looking and heathly.

The last beardie I had, I rescued him... a friend of mine's room mate left the country and left this poor little beardie there, I was told if I wanted "Spike" come get him and his set up for free as he didn't care for the lizard what so ever.. I immediatly went to the place and got the poor little guy, he was emaciated, de-hydrated, basically on deaths door. I didn't have high hopes for him, thought he wasn't going to make the car ride home, but he pulled through and I got him back to a happy heathly lizard, with a lot of personality too! He took to my kitten, and they were in love! :D

Hope these pics work -they are just screen shots off my phone.
