English Appereal; Is this any good?
I'm wanting to get my riding gear for christmas, but I have no idea what is good or not. I don't have a whole lot of money but I will only be doing small local shows anyways.

If theses aren't good quality or something else is wrong with them, please let me know before I order. Recommendations would be nice (: I only have money to get boots and breeches for now, will probably get the rest for my birthday.
Also I will be showing in either jumping or hunter classes. Though I probably won't be showing for quite a while so this is mainly for my own comfort in riding, at the moment I have to wear an old pair of dressy boots I bought once :b
The boots aren't real leather, if you can afford it- get real. They also look really clunky in the ankle area, and I'd guess the zippers aren't super sturdy. Could you maybe go to a tack store and try on some boots (ariat, tredstep, etc), find your size and keep an eye out for a lightly used pair. I have never owned non-leathers, but hear over and over that their life span is significantly shorter. Hate to see someone invest less, but end up spending more to constantly replace.
It is possible to find decent boots on a budget. I got ariat champions (made in Italy.. They're now made in china) for just over $100. I found them in a back country tack shop up on a dusty shelf.
Saxon aren't real leather, but you CAN show in them.
TuffRider breeches are fine.
For boots you should look at clearance/sale items at horseloverz.com Last year(actually I think it was closer to 2 years) I got a pair of ovation boots for $76, retail was $250 and they are great, very comfortable. It's hit or miss with whether you can find your size on sale but it's worth a try :-)
Run away from Saxons. As far and fast as you can.
I had a pair, and I can honestly tell you I wasted my money, 100%. They were terrible - no support, no comfort, rubbed me all over, just didn't fit, AND the zipper busted within a month. Hated those things. If you can afford ANYTHING else, I promise, anything but Saxon is better.
I have TuffRiders - super comfy, and soft :p Love em. The knee patches get worn pretty quick, but otherwise no complaints. Best of luck to you!! Enjoy the showing!!
Thanks everybody (:
I'm going to a tack shop today, I'm not sure if they carry English boots or not but I'll see!
I love Saxon anything. Have their boots and horse blankets. My saxon boots were worn everyday all sumer and still look new. And I'm not nice to my stuff. They were the only boots I tried on that fit my foot AND my calf lol small foot huge calf. Never rub and the zipper is still perfect. If they made winter boots I would snatch them up in a second.
Not a fan of Saxon boots. Love Treadstone and Devonairre are good too.

Big no to Saxon boots. They rub causing blisters, they wear out really fast and are just over all no good.
Also doing hunters you would want field boots. The dress boot is more dressage.
If you are tight I recommend ariats. They are affordable, comfortable and hold up to wear and tear.
Tiff Rider breeches are comfortable. Elations are nice as well in an affordable price range.
Check out Horseloverz. Honestly there are breeches on there right now for $9! I'm resisting pulling out the credit card lol.
