| ThePaintGirl | 11-20-2012 06:04 PM | His battle is over Before I even type a word, the tears have returned. Some of you may know of my dad's TB's struggle this past week. Starting with his weight loss, leading to having no teeth. A little over a week ago he choked, and then his lungs were infected. We started antibiotics and ended up having to take him into the animal hospital yesterday morning. After a rollercoaster week, his health going up and down, his battle was over. And Im sad to say he lost.
He passed away between 2:30-3:10 PM at 22 years old. The vet came out to his stall to find him gone. They suspect he passed because of a blood clot, going by how fast he left. We buried him last night by my truck's headlights, down by our old windmill where the grass is always greenest. He had his Champion halter on, and we put a big bag of carrots by his head, and we dumped some senior feed next to him (he always dumped it out of his bucket, so we did it for him) and I gave him one last hug and kiss.
My dad always called him Hurr-Hurr, because thats how Braveheart would always greet him. http://i45.tinypic.com/161dup.jpg |
