Magnetic sheets and boots
I've noticed a lot of tack shops are now selling magnetic sheets and boots.
They claim to help circulation and reduce pain. Has anyone ever used these? Or know how they work? Are they worth the money?
Maybe it'd just be cheaper to attach a bunch of kitchen magnets onto a flysheet, lol..
I've never used them personally on my horses but an old business partner of mine whose wife was a Thoroughbred racehorse trainer used them all the time.
I have used a copper bracelet with magnets for over 20 years and it seems to help with arthritis.
Hope that helps a little
I find those things amusing. An easy statement to make when there is no way of proving what they're claiming.
Did you hear that Eskadron boots allows your horse to sleep better at night? (just making a point that)
Many years ago, on the first mare I owned, I actually had bought her a magnetic blanket and except for wasting me A LOT of money, I never saw any changes. Nothing.
I would stay away. It's all about making money to them.
I have and use them and they seem to help, they're not a magical cure for anything, but then nothing is. I also am neurotic about my horses legs, as an eventer I kind of should be though.
If you have money go for it, if it's gonna be tight though I wouldn't just warm up and cool down well and invest in a good joint supplement.
