Green gelatinous blob in manure
1 Attachment(s)
As the title says, what could cause a singe, green, gelatinous blob in the manure. While picking this afternoon one of the appy mare's piles had a random green blob on it. It was jiggly like thick mucus or jello. I don't think it was a parasite (not one that I know of at least!).

She is fine, bright eyed and sassy as ever, eating well, drinking well. I am not too worried unless I start seeing more, just wondering if anyone has a clue what it could be?

could she have gotten into something around the stable like that. ive seen a dog eat some playdo and it came out almost the same.

I would suspect it is mucous that is naturally occurring the intestines and acts as a lubricant.

I had a paint mare that had a lot of mucus in her pile. She was an easy keeper & healthy otherwise.
