I have been married to Mrs. Face for 32 years, but was married previously for 10 years. My first wife, to whom I am still very close, was recently diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer.
I am posting this just for information purposes because this type of breast cancer has different symptoms than other breast cancers, and the symptoms can mimmick other breast issues such as mastitis.
The prognosis for this type of cancer is not nearly as good as for other types of breast cancer...the overall survival rate is much lower. This type of cancer is a local advanced cancer, meaning that the cancer does not typically start with tumors, but is rather dispersed in the breast, and as a result there is no Stage 1 or Stage 2. The cancer is either Stage 3 involving the breast and lymph nodes, or Stage 4 and metasticized to other parts of the body.
This is a relatively rare form of breast cancer, and is very aggressive, meaning it spreads fast, so it is very very important to obtain the earliest possible diagnosis and catch it before it progresses to Stage 4.
Following is an informational link, which I hope you will read to familiarize yourself with the symptoms...
