Synthetic vs Natural brushes?
I know some people prefer natural brushes over synthetic, and vise versa. What are the pros and cons? What do you use? I just would like to know for whenever I can get some new horse brushes. I have both kinds right now but they are all old; so I don't know. Thank you!

I have both kinds but I much prefer my natural brushes, I think they clean much better, I usually use synthetic hard brush then finish with a natural brush

I've used both and I don't really see a difference in quality. To me, a brush is a brush.
I clean (scrape of the dirt using a curry) my brushes after every time I use them. So, I'm not reall a good judge using that method.

Interesting- I've never thought about it.

I use a synthetic dandy brush with really long bristles as I find it's way better for getting out dust and dirt, and also for brushing manes and tails without snagging. The body brush I use is natural, however - it's super soft and I feel much more comfortable using that around the face. It also is much finer than synthetic ones and gets between the hairs of the coat a lot better.

I like both. Although, I have never really thought about it. About 3/4 of them are synthetic, I guess cause no one sells many natural brushes around here.

They say natural brushes give more shine to the coat.

I use synthetics because all the natural ones I find are much more expensive!

Thanks, you all! Please keep the opinions coming! I really appreciate it. I think I'm leaning towards the natural brushes a little, but I still don't know.

Is there a way I can add a poll onto this thread? Actually, how do I even make a poll? lol
