Dressage girth length
Yeah, I know I've been annoying about girths.
I'm about to order the girth, but I'm somewhat confused if I have to go with the smaller size. I have 24" at the moment, and thinking about 22". Just wondering if my current one looks too long at the pics (sorry for the quality, pics are old, and I don't have a camera at the moment to take some better ones). It's quite close to the billet guards, but on other side I'm afraid if it'll be too short the buckles can be behind the elbow.
Certainly not too long, I think you'd be safe getting your new one in the same length, depending on where the buckles are located and whether or not they are elasticised. The elastic girths can do with being a little shorter than non elasticised.
Thank you for the input, Kayty! The one I have now (Pro Choice) is elastic. The one I'm looking into (Piaffe) is leather, so probably will be less stretchy. I'll go with the current length then. :)
