Critique my fillys Conformation
Can you give your opinions on if she is well built and has good conformation. I will put more pics up later as I will take them today. These pics were taken 1-2 months ago.
that picture's not the best for critique but from what i think i can see she appears to have a decent shoulder on her
Neck set is not bad and a pretty face
Front legs look good as well, though there is something about them... probably just the way she is standing but they appear to be set quite forward on her frame...
Again, probably the ground but she's a little bum high there
Back is a good length
Nice rounded hindquarters
Hard to judge the back legs, but nothing terrible is jumping out at me
She looks a little buck kneed but apart from that I can't tell much. From what I can see she looks pretty good
She is a bit buck knee'd (cosmetic issue, NOT a soundness issue). She looks to have some Thoroughbred in her from the way her knees look (large and flat) her shoulder and her neck set. She may be a really good horse.. but better photos would be beneficial to support that.
Overall, she is not done maturing.
Show me a horse that has toes pointed straight ahead and I will (usually) show you a horse that is bow legged behind and does not move well (ahhh.. halter horse world).
Trim your horse's hind feet level and let her grow and develop naturally. She looks good.. don't mess with that! :-)
