Barrel Racing Sport Boots
Hi, I have just started competeing barrels on an older arabian. We arent going super fast or anything, I'm a beginner, but sometimes I worry about her legs. As I get better, our turns get sharper and quicker and Im wondering if I need to get her some Sport Medicine Boots. She is an older horse, so I want to play it safe. I know the Professional's Choice one's are pretty good, im just not completely sure if I need them.

Do you think I really need them?

Wether you need them or not would/will be a great debate. Using them wont hurt anything though. As long as they fit and are put on properly. So my answer would be, yes, even if it's only just to teach yourself proper use of them when you step it up.

Thank you! This is a very good point. Thanks!

I agree. Any time you are spinning and asking your horse for an effort that could involve getting it's legs in a mess, use boots. Even just using splints and bells are good for right now. I really like my Iconoclasts. Sold my pro choice boots last year... I also have Pegasus boots. They are nice too and super easy to apply properly.
