please answer if you can this AM
what kind of footing are we talking about? if it's M-10, I say lay some water on it! - It's hard to get that stuff "too wet" with a hose!
If its dirt, You might just want to put enough to change the color of it... hard to explain in words :?
it is very fine dirt
wet it enough to where you're not making mud...it should be fine for a ride :D
now how sensible is that! helloooooooo i need a break today
I tried watering mine once. The last 2 summers we have gotten very little rain and it was driving me crazy. I wet each spot with a hose for about 5 minutes (granted, it was a warm sunny day) and when they ran they just dug up the stuff that was still dry. Needless to say it didn't work very well. But in 4-H we would wet her indoor one the same and it worked fine.
Im gunna hijack for a min.
Monday, as we were starting to mount our horses, one of the barn helpers started to water down the arena, and Fritz being the spastic that he is, started to eyeball the hose.
We had to walk our horses around the mounting block, and in between the block itself and a bench, mount, then keep walking around between my instructor and a gate. The first person in my party had did it fine, and had already started to leave the arena.
Once I mounted Fritz, he darn near fell over (not kidding), and then I must of done something wrong, or he must of still been spazzing over the hose or the other rider because he decided to turn and go back the way we came, almost taking out the bench, and falling over in the process... oye..
Okay, end hijack.
