Herb dosage help, please. Nutritionists?
I bought some herbs from a website for horses, but they did not include directions for feeding.

Any ideas on how much marshmallow root, echinacea and licorice root to feed a 1,000 pound horse?

Did you call the company?

Yes, left a message. No response yet. :/

If you just called them I would wait a bit for a response. Maybe they have an email that they answer quicker? Otherwise if you have a co-op or an organic store of sorts they might be able to help you.

What are you doing with these herbs?

I did email and it bounced right back to me. :(

I hope this wasn't a sketchy purchase. This is the website:
Herbs for your horse by Herb n' Horse, natural equine nutrition.

What are you trying to accomplish with these herbs?

Marshmallow root and licorice for ulcers/hindgut issues...echinacea for overall immune system boost.

We provide 4 pounds of material for you to blend.
A blending pouch is included.
Blend equal amounts.
The 4 pound unit should provide a 4-6 week supply if used in the dosage suggested.
Foals, up to 500 lbs 30 g ( 1 oz )
500 to 1000 lbs. 40g ( 1.5 oz. )
Over 1000 lbs. 60g ( 2 oz. )
Pregnant or lactating 80g ( 2.8 oz. ).
High performance 120g ( 4 oz. )
Dosage can be split, serving half with the morning and half with the evening feeding.

That is from the website for their specialty blends instead of ording individual herbs. So I would say 1-1.5oz

Thank you!!
The website is kind of a hot mess.

Yes, it is very unorganized and confusing. Not a whole lot of info either. But it appears that feeding dose is after everything is mixed together.
