My little goober jumping 2'3, at a canter!
My wonderful, amazing, talented coming five-year-old and I took our highest jump today, and at a canter.
We only work over fences every couple of weeks, trotting small cross-rails with the occasional canter. Usually we do a lot of trot and canter poles.
She acted like she hated trotting the small fences. I was afraid that my jumper prospect wasn't a jumper after all..... Well, I decided, just for fun and curiosity, to take her over a bigger fence. She LOVED it. She has a blast as did I.
Now that I'm relieved she likes jumping, we're back to our good old flat work until spring.
But, I had to share.
Isn't she a natural? Even though it doens't look like it, her landing was a touch awkward and I lost my seat a bit. But hey, I haven't jumped in months, so all considering I think we did pretty swell. :D
Thanks for watching and observing my proud mom moment.
