$1500 for a 3 y/o gelding? Good or Bad Deal?
So, I'm seeing two 3 y/o geldings, one a overo and the other a dun.
Anyways this will be the second time I'll be seeing them again. The first time was in the late evening, so it was dark when I went out to see the two.
Now, my impression on them, is that they are what the owner's daughter told me. All-arouund good horses, who can take anything. That is, the daughter walked behind both (safely) and slipped in between the two and leaned on them and everything. Pretty much didn't care. I even stepped between the two. Aside from muddy legs (we were in the pasture) they felt all-around good. I'm seeing them tomorrow, in better lighting. My sister is coming with me as the owner did tell me that I could test them by taking them out for a trail ride. (They are both trail horses, and trained by himself).
Now, I know the guy well enough to know he isn't up to anything to cheat me. He does know his stuff well. The asking price for each: $1500. Now my question is, good or bad deal? Remeber Murray? He is 12 y/o and is $1500 for sale.
what happened to the horse you had on trail? pictures would help.
And no pictures. It was dark when I had seen the two.
