So after stocktaking two stores last Tuesday and Wednesday I have had terrible neck pain :( It seems to come and go, if I am up and about it goes away but the moment I sit or lie down, wham, pain :( So after a week of this not getting any better, if anything worse...
I have taken different painkillers to sleep at night but try to avoid them during the day. My mum gave me a nice massage but it didn't feel any better during or after :S
Any suggestions on what to do? Maybe I should just take a visit to the Doctor tomorrow?
Doctor sounds like a good idea or a chiro would probably help heaps! :D
Neck and back pain sucks! :(
I'd go to the doc. No sense in suffering when there could be something as simple as a non narcotic prescription.
If it's muscle -- have you tried Tiger Balm? It's available at Chinese / Oriental health care centres.
I had a sore neck yesterday, so MDH said, let's go for a bike ride (motorcycle)... Just the change in movement helped; then I went for a ride and I felt much better. I find that sitting around makes it worse.
Lie down put some heat on the back of your neck with a pad. Let those muscles relax and give them a break by lying down a few times a day. Be careful with your posture as well during this time. You would be surprised how much pain you can cause by not sitting and standing properly.
Give yourself a break.
Ok something I have trouble with is relaxing :( I made a dr's appointment but it isn't until Friday morning :( He is a very busy man. Until then I think I will try lying down for a while. Plus to top it all off, I bumped my head on the corner of a metal box :( I am in a terrible state with my head and neck right now.
