Narrow cracks in hooves?

We baught arab x tb from a breeding home, and her feet are pretty appalling.
She did a lot of roadwork in her previous home and now in both hind hooves she has cracks, one in each hoof.
The cracks are thin and you probably wouldn't notice them if you weren't looking for them. She is not lame at all, and trots up sound as a pound.
Her front hooves aren't too bad, no cracks that I can see, but the front it kind of blunted off from wear, and they are chipped at the bottom, but again, she is not lame.
What should I do about this? Can she still be ridden? (In a soft surface arena)
Any advice at all would be appreciated, thank you x

Hi,

Some hoof pics would be helpful for specifics - please check out the link in my signature before taking.

Basically, hoof cracks tend to come about from insufficient &/or inappropriate trimming, such as imbalance, leaving toes long, etc. They can be exacerbated if there are other issues, such as diet/nutrition issues & seedy toe/white line disease.

Yes, she can still be ridden, but I'd stay on that yielding arena footing until you can get a good farrier/trimmer to her. If there is infection present, the cracks may have to be dug out & treated with an antiseptic.

I'd put shoes on her or him. Let her heal up. If give some no thrush. That stufff is magical

^^Except that shoes don't tend to help, but they more often hinder cracks, through the peripheral loading. I'd get the feet healthy before considering conventional shoes.
