Sorry I forgot to add? What am I looking for? Characteristics? Breed?

You just have to evaluate the conformation and abilities of the individual horse you are considering. The "breed" is not really a breed yet - it has been around for only about 40 years, so there have not been enough generations to establish a consistent conformation and for breeding stock to breed true, so you cannot yet make any assumptions as to skills and abilities...Andys and Quarterhorses are just too dissimilar. Because of that there will be substantial variance among individual horses, so you have to evaluate each one to insure it will meet your needs...

Couldn't agree more with Faceman. The biggest issue is they are so unalike and don't compliment each other. Quarter horses are also so different from one to another depending upon how much foundation or TB blood they have in them. You will always find some really nice individuals no matter the cross but it's a lot harder to get it right when buying young stock.
