you think she is worth it?

I looked at a 11 year old ,15 hand chestnut qh mare the other day and she was really sweet. well she is $500 and is a trained jumper at 3'6. she has long legs and great confo. I don't have pics cause I went to the sellers house to look at her but what do you think? I fell in love with her. she pretty much is popping with potential. oh and she gets wormed monthly. if we choose to take her we can have her for a month and try her out.

I'd say go for the trial! What have you got to lose? $500 is a steal. Before you buy tho, VET CHECK.

I would go for it, but get the vet check...just in case!

An 11 y/o who's a 3"6 jumper for only $500?! Either you're getting the steal of a lifetime or there is something severely wrong with that horse! It doesn't matter what part of the country you're from, a trained 3"6 horse is significantly more then that! Now if they actually meant has been free jumped over 3"6, well that would be different. :) For $500 i would expect an unbroke or green broke horse, possibly something with some soundness issues. Most trained horses start off around $1000 and go way up with training. Way way up with specialized training.

we are trying her for a month! and don'y worry the first thing is going to be a vet check. The owners before the current owner said she jumped 3'6 but who knows. I do know that she is a very trained and diciplined horse though. we are going to have the seller(who is an instructor) ride her through the paces and jump and if she looks good then I'll ride her. she was originally $700 but we bargined down to $500. she comes sat.(the day of my birthday party!) so I will post pics then.

wow! that's really exciting and I'm glad that you're being cautious about it with vet checks and using your trainer! I really hope she works out for you! keep us updated! And if you find any more trained 3"6 horses for $500 please send them my way. :D
