around in our area i have read English pleasure referred to as under saddle hunt-seat and English pleasure but if im right isn't there a different English discipline completely diffrent

Hunt seat is judged on your riding, english pleasure is judged on the horse. As the name implies, the horse should be a pleasure to ride.

so what is equitation

hunt seat equitation is judged on how well you ride, or are you referring to hunter under saddle? That is based on the horse, quality of his strides, etc.

why is this in the eventing forum ?
