Dashing ‘cross the course,
Nearly lost my reins,
O’er the jumps we go,
Gasping all the way!
One bell boot’s a miss,
We gave the crowd a fright,
But what fun it is to ride and think
We’re jumping at this height!
Riding fast, riding clear,

The cross-country course today.

T’was just a day ago,
Our dressage went alright,
Aside from the bucking show,
And turning left not right.
Kept popping flying changes,
Whether we needed them or not,
But we made up for all these things
With a blinding medium trot!

One more day to go,
Must face the showjump course.
