New draft saddle and breast collar

I ordered Sonny a new draft sized tree saddle with an 8" gullet. His FQHB cutting saddle was just too tight around his shoulder area since he added about 200 pounds of muscle. My question is that it came with a matching breast collar but no "D" rings on the saddle. Is that normal for draft saddles? Does that mean I attach it to the rings the cinch is attached too? Thanks so much.

If you want you can take it to someone to have the d rings put on the saddle. Its also fairly cheap. Attatching it to wear the tie strap and off billet goes will work but usually the breast collar ends up being too low on their shoulder.

Thanks. I may call my local tack shop and see if they can do it or if they can suggest someone who can.

.

Some Saddle use Conchos with a Stud built in that screws into the Tree Frame, if you have that kind of Conchos that unscrews you could add a Ring similar to these under the Concho

1" S.S. CLIP & DEE B/C

This is the new saddle. I did get a response back from the maker that I am to use the cinch rings to attach the breast collar because the breast collar straps are shorter so the collar sits comfortably above the shoulder. Can't wait to see how it looks on Sonny.
